Inhalants Allergy Test (IgE 50)

Are you living with an environmental allergy?
IgE is a protein that is normally found in very small amounts in the blood, and functions as part of the body's immune system. When IgE antibodies recognise an allergen, it can cause the release of histamine and other chemicals that result in an allergic reaction. Symptoms of an inhalant allergy include chronic respiratory symptoms — persistent sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, nasal congestion, coughing, and wheezing.

This test measures IgE antibodies against 50 common inhalant allergens including house dust mites, grass and tree pollens, animal dander (cat, dog, horse), feathers, moulds, and cockroach particles. Results identify which specific environmental allergens your immune system is reacting to.
Armed with this information, you and your healthcare provider can implement targeted avoidance strategies — whether that means air filtration, bedding changes, pet management, or immunotherapy referral.
Note: A venous blood collection and centrifuge is required for this test. An additional cost of ~£40 GBP is payable directly to the service. Contact Bloodservices@mail.com for options in your location. Please only book Monday (ensuring the weather temperature for the week does not exceed 22°C on any day) and bring your prepaid packaging to post the sample directly after.
If you have a specific allergen or group of allergens you would like tested, please contact us for a quote.
